We're looking for a Woodlands Accounting Assistant for our Southern Interior Woodlands Division located in Lumby,British Columbia. The Southern Interior Woodlands Team manages Tolko's tenure and fibre supply in the Southern Interior of British Columbia, covering an area of 953,447 hectares. We are dedicated to sustaining these areas to the benefit of all who live and work there.
Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in business or administration.
- Two years relevant experiences in an administrative or accounting role.
- Excellent computer skills with an emphasis on Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to built relationships and be a team member.
- General knowledge of the forest industry, including woodlands activities an asset.
- Knowledge of accounting practices.
- Knowledge of the LIMS system / database considered an asset.
In your role you will:
- Set up contracts in LIMS for each Timbermark and contractor on a daily, weekly, monthly basis.
- Be accountable for processing various informational reports.
- Complete monthly GL account reconciliation, journal vouchers and various office duties.
- Interface with various internal and external contacts including logging vendors, logging contractors, truckers, scalers, CRA, and the Ministry of Forests.
- Use a proactiveapproach to problem-solving.
- Be a resourceful team player who can work independently.
- You'll take on anexciting new challengewithsupportive team members.
- You'll earn acompetitive salary based on your skills and experience.The expected base salary range for this position is $52,875 - $70,500 per year.
