Waste Connections of Canada is looking for an Accounts Payablepersonnel for our, London, District
The Accounts Payablepersonnel will assist the Controller and District Accountant in various accounting related tasks such as reconciliations. Performs Accounts Payable accounting functions including receiving and matching invoices, ensures divisions PO log is accurate and complete, and that invoices are paid or submitted for payment. Reviews division p-card batches and enters division invoices into companies' accounting system for payment. From time to time, performs accounts receivable accounting functions such as cash posting, collections calls/emails, sending out invoices, and addressing customer-invoicing concerns.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensuring all invoices are entered at month-end for the A/P accrual Reconciling of accounts against system reports such as disposal, subcontractor and fuel Print/Email invoices for management approvals Create POs and review for receive dates and accruals Process payments and apply credits memos Maintain office supplies inventory levels, receive, stock and order Review forecast against accruals
Qualifications:
3-5 years of related accounting experience College diploma in accounting is an asset Attention to detail and organizational skills
Great Interpersonal and Time Management skills An aptitude for numbers and data accuracy Intermediate Excel Skills, Outlook and Word
Full Cycle accounting experience is asset
Strong communication skills with vendors/customers (both written and verbal)
Cover overflow in Accounts Receivable, i.e. collection calls, AR adj, reconciliations, process customer payment etc.
Perform other accounting/admin duties as requested by the District Controller.
Schedule
Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm, in-person/on-site.
