Entry Level Dispatch/Customer Service

Responsibilities:

• Execute day-to-day outbound and inbound logistics
• Co-ordinate and utilize third party (broker) trucking loads
• Manage supplies for drivers (charge account books, log books) etc..
• Attain trucking tickets on a daily basis to ensure proper billing.
• Take material orders, track the status and prepare for on-time deliveries
• Create quotes for contractor and retail customers
• Process packing and account slips into our computer system
• Assist customers with natural stone, pre-cast concrete products, bulk materials, etc.
• Co-ordinate with yard for deliveries and pick-up orders
• Assist with loading customers if needed
• Answer telephone calls and emails
• Multi-task between retail and contractor clients
• Create and receive purchase orders
• Assist with cash out window, inventory counts and accounting when needed
• Undertake additional tasks or projects assigned by the management team
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Be punctual

Necessary Qualifications/Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or greater
• Flexible work hours including evenings and weekends (during peak season)
• Work accurately and effectively under pressure
• Good listening and communication skills
• Multi-tasking
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Organization
• Basic computer skills is required (Excel, Word, Google Maps)
• Basic math skills (Area, Perimeter, Square Footage, etc.)
• Able to lift 40 pounds at any point during the shift

Experience:

• Knowledge of landscape supplies and industry (Asset, not required)
• Knowledge in delivery organization/planning (Asset, not required)
• Minimum 2 years of experience working in the customer service industry

Salary: $55,000.00 per year
