We are looking to add an HR Administrator to our team based out of our Aurora office.
The HR Administrator will provide support in many areas of Human Resources, with particular focus on new-hire onboarding, benefits administration, and data management.
Responsibilities
- Organize and maintain filing systems, including employee files, data tracking sheets and electronic files
- Prepare new hire orientation packages and maintain HRIS software
- Ownership of the onboarding process including delivering new hire training and conducting onboarding activities
- Oversee the administration of company benefits plans including registration of new employees and responding to all benefits-related enquiries
- Be the first point of contact for employee inquiries
- Assist in the preparation of offers, employment letters, forms, legal documents
- Provide support for training logistics – registering staff participants for seminars and/or courses
- Participate in select committees such as Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
- Assist with team projects
- Assist with compliance regulations ie: AODA
- Provide overall administrative and clerical support to the HR team
- Vacation tracking for all employees using ADP
- Other duties as assigned and/or directed
- One (1) year experience in Human Resources is an asset – also open to new HR graduates!
- Completed a post-secondary or equivalent program in Human Resources.
- Strong proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Suite, in particular MS Excel.
- Effective oral and written communication skills complemented with strong client service skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage a large and variable workload, ensuring timely and accurate completion of assigned work.
- Ability to handle sensitive personnel information, confidentially, in a mature and professional manner.
- Experience in a fast-paced environment is an asset
- Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment, as well as with cross-functional teams
- Previous experience working with an HRIS, ADP or other database(s) considered an asset
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
