The Onboarding Partner provides local HR expertise to a District. This includes full cycle employee onboarding, retention and off boarding and support local management with respect to Benefits, and support to Reporting Clinical Supervisors as needed for Disability Management, as well as coordinating local HR programs such as Onboarding (Orientation) and new employee on-boarding, and as acting as the main contact for branch employees on day-to-day employment matters such as employment letters, Service Canada Requests, . Labor Management Requests with support of HR Business Partner in Region for all LR/HR related issues.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Process new hire paperwork including capturing results for criminal background checks, Vulnerable Sector Results, medical result requests such as TB within 30 days of hire if not received at time of Orientation.
- Coordinates and conducts general onboarding for new hires Day One within the People & Culture Portion of the Onboarding Agenda and Check List.
- Administers payroll and benefit paperwork for new and existing employees.
- Abide by Human Resources policies according to union collective agreements, company
- policies and provincial and federal legislation including Employment Standards Act among others.
- Serves as the initial point of contact for, changes in status, leaves, and benefits.
- Researches, identifies and analyzes specific employee relations concerns under direction of management and or People & Culture Business Partner.
- Provides exit interview and inputs into the exit data survey and ensures employee is off-boarded and employee file complete.
- Supports Management in the presentation of in-services and general training to client group about general and specific human resources issues, policies, procedures, and documentation
- General Administration support as needed.
