Duties
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments
- Collect and update patient information in electronic system
- Verify insurance coverage and assist with billing inquiries
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, emailing, and scanning documents
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area
- Assign clients to clinicians
Experience
- Previous experience working in a Medical Office or similar administrative role preferred
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems
- Experience in mental health (asset)
- Proficient in using office equipment and computer software applications
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with attention to detail
- Experience working with a diverse population
