The opportunity
EY currently has an opening for a Payroll Coordinator within our Core Business Services. As a Payroll Coordinator you’ll be responsible for the accurate administration and timely processing of semi-monthly payroll for EY employees across Canada.
Your key responsibilities
- Calculate and key semi-monthly payroll
- Ensure accurate employee records are maintained in Ceridian payroll database
- Prepare excel documents for upload in Dayforce
- Prepare payroll journal entries and GL account reconciliations
- Prepare remittances for third party deductions such as garnishments, RRSP/TFSA, pension, charitable donations, etc.
- Support employees and past employees with any payroll queries
- Issue Records of Employment
- Maintain payroll sources documents using company e-filing system
- Work as a team to ensure deadlines are met
- Support special projects as assigned

- Strong team player, capable of performing in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Excellent (English) written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to deal with confidential information with a high degree of diplomacy
- Highly effective customer service and collaborative skills
To qualify for the role, you must have
- A minimum of 2-year post-secondary education in Accounting, Business, Human Resources, or equivalent
- 2 - 4 years of payroll processing experience
- Advanced computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel
- PCP Designation from National Payroll Institute (formerly Canadian Payroll Association)
- Experience working with Ceridian Dayforce
Ideally you will have
- Experience in processing multi-province payroll with 1000+ employees
- This role involves interaction with internal and external clients and professionals nationally and globally. Professional competency in the English language is therefore a requirement of this role. Bilingualism in both French and English is considered an asset.

The salary range for this job in British Columbia is $52,400 to $78,600. Individual salaries within this range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and work location city.
