Canadian Locators Inc. (an INTUS company) is an established utility locating company that has been in the damage prevention industry for over 18 years. Our organization works closely with utility clients in Alberta, British Columbia, and Ontario through services such as Alberta One Call (Call or Click before you Dig). Currently, our group of companies provides a comprehensive suite of pre-engineering services including locates, mapping, surveying, geophysical services, fibre optic splicing, and proprietary technology solutions.
Canadian Locators Inc. is currently seeking a bright, enthusiastic, and reliable candidate to join our team as a Receptionist and Administrative Assistant. This entry-level position requires high energy, attention to detail, strong work ethic, exceptional telephone manner, solid computer skills, and a strong sense of personal accountability and responsibility.
This is not your average receptionist role—this position is a key and important role in our office. As you will be providing support for several administrative functions, you will receive cross-training and exposure to a variety of different tasks.
Duties:
· Answer and direct incoming calls
· Greet and direct visitors at the Reception area
· Handle mail/email and arrange couriers
· Administer the company mobile phone and fuel card programs
· Arrange travel bookings (hotel, flights, car rentals)
· Prepare weekly/monthly reports for management
· Assist with photocopying, printing, and filing
· Order office supplies as needed
· Maintain the common areas (kitchen/lunch room/boardroom)
· Assist will other important administrative functions, as required
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Solid organizational skills and ability to multi-task
· Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work as part of a team
· Critical thinking skills and creative problem-solving approach
· Ability to comprehend data and information accurately
· Willingness to assist and support others
· Strong clerical skills for data entry, email/phone/computer usage, filing, etc.
Required Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· Reliable transportation
· Post-secondary education or experience in a similar role is preferred
