Recreation Coordinator / Front Desk Agent
Location: Pioneer Point Resort, Lakefield, ON
Hourly Wage: $16.55 - $17/hour
Full time seasonal position (May – September)

This customer facing role will be responsible for assisting in the development and execution of the recreation program at the resort as well as provide additional support to the Front Desk team in daily operations of a campground. This position will require availability on days, evenings, weekends, and offers both team and independent working opportunities with exposure to daily operations, program planning and challenge resolution.

Job requirements:
· Greet and check-in/ process payments for our guests while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
· Handling outgoing and incoming Front Desk telephone calls and emails.
· Create emails, newsletters, posters and other documents, as required for promotion of the recreation program.
· Book and coordinate external recreation events & suppliers (ie. Bands, entertainers, fire works)
- Lead high-quality recreation programs at a specified program location, ensuring there is a wide range of sport and recreational opportunities provided for guests
- Promote and implement Kids Club, sport, family, and some adult programs
- Assist with creating resort event calendars and program plans
- Work with management team to ensure program supply needs are correct & purchased in a timely manner
- Cleaning duties as required.
· Assist in other areas as required
Skills & Abilities:
· Excellent time management and multitasking skills and the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.
· Reliable transportation is essential.
· Weekend work required

- Enthusiastic, high-energy and positive attitude
· Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and organizational skills.
Education and/or Experience:
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination or education and experience preferred.
· Customer service experience preferred.
· Prior knowledge of the tourism/hospitality industry or campgrounds is an asset.
· Recreation program planning and implementation an asset
· Ability to develop & lead sports/recreation programs
- Experience working with children is an asset
