Accounts Receivable Clerk

We are seeking a driven Accounts Receivable Clerk to work alongside our team to assist in aligning our financial initiatives and functions with the objectives of the business. We are looking for someone who is strong in excel, motivated to take on multiple tasks, and has excellent communication skills for both external and internal customers. This role will utilize business knowledge, time management skills and effective problem solving to ensure success.
Reporting to the Controller, the Accounts Receivable Clerk will be a key member of the accounting team and will assist in the following responsibilities:
Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure timely, accurate and complete processing of all invoices.
• Accurately maintain customer balances which include tracking and recording of all invoices, payments and charges
• Monitor payments from customers to ensure they are received in a timely manner and according to credit terms
• Verify invoicing discrepancies and resolve clients’ billing issues
• Prepare bank deposits and general ledger postings
• Daily cash reconciliation
• Aid in tasks relating to month end close
• Liaise with internal and external clients.

Skills and Experience

• Strong work ethic with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment in order to meet deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong computer Microsoft Excel skills
• Previous experience within the hospitality industry is an asset
