As the Project Manager, you will support Calgary Police Service (CPS) in the planning, implementation, and operationalization of REACH (Recovery, Empowerment, Advocacy, Compassion and Healing) Up Initiative. The position will provide leadership to move the project forward by developing project plans, setting priorities, coordinating teams, and assigning work to team members. Specific duties include:
- Provide leadership to project teams, including delegating tasks and responsibilities, leading working groups, and monitoring and reporting on progress.
- Collaborate and consult with internal and external partners to develop project charters with clearly defined objectives, benefits, success/sustainment metrics, budgets, schedules, milestones, risk assessments and resource needs.
- Communicate the status of projects, risks and mitigation strategies, and key decisions made to project partners.
- Foster internal working relationships, as well as partnerships with external, multi-disciplinary community agencies to build consensus around program development, standard operating procedures, training, operations, and evaluations.
- Liaise with City departments and external organizations to represent CPS on various committees.
- Collaborate with leaders inside and outside the work area to confirm assignment of project team members, including time commitments and role expectations.
- Engage and provide direction to project team members though an indirect reporting relationship.
- Identify and negotiate the scope of partnership arrangements between CPS and external partners; develop proposals for activities, programs, and projects, and develop and negotiate the final scope of work or requirements on behalf of the organization with external consultants and service providers.
- Demonstrate a high level of confidence and expertise in public presentations, facilitation of discussions and/or engaging with a wide range of external audiences and groups.
- A degree in computer science, business, engineering, public administration, social science or a related field, and 5 years of related experience managing projects.
- Experience working with community service partners would be an asset.

- An enhanced security clearance will be conducted.
- Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications. Education obtained from out of country must have or be able to obtain, an Education Credential Assessment (ECA) for confirmation of equivalent credentials.
