As the Sentry (RMS) Training Administrator, you will be responsible for the development of all training material for the new and upgraded version of the CPS Records Management Systems (RMS). This position will provide in-class instruction, one-on-one mentoring, and train-the-trainer sessions; as well as overseeing the logistical coordination between training and facilities, Primary duties include:
- Identify training gaps and coordinate with training team to develop measures where necessary.
- Develop specific training materials and training guidelines for Trainers and users.
- Schedule, coordinate and deliver In-Service Training classes for users of the RMS.
- Involvement with Sentry Enhancement Project Team to provide improvements in workflows and strategies.
- Implement recommendations approved from Sentry Enhancement Project Team.
- Assist with the planning, coordination, implementation and communication of micro-projects.
- Adjust and modify all training material and ensure training adheres to any relevant changes required.
- Assist with User Acceptance Testing of the upgrade to ensure training material and the application of training is accurate and consistent.
- Provide informal consultations and coaching to users of the RMS.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or equivalency and a minimum of 5 years experience as a police officer are required.
- At least one job-related (30 hours) course work (e.g. adult learning, instructional design or related) is required.
- Knowledge of the Criminal Code of Canada, Uniform Crime Reporting requirements and Operational Patrol experience are required.
- A minimum 2 years of RMS experience is required.
- Experience as an instructor with a minimum of 160 hrs (equivalent to 8 weeks of instruction within a specified subject) is required.
- Preference will be given to applicants that have experience as a police officer in the last 2 years.
- You must have the following competencies: analytical thinking, change management, coaching and development, communication, managing resources, relationship building, team building and team work.
Pre-employment Requirements
- An enhanced security clearance will be conducted.
- Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications. Education obtained from out of country must have or be able to obtain, an Education Credential Assessment (ECA) for confirmation of equivalent credentials.
