As the Ticket Processing and e-Disclosure Specialist, you will perform a wide variety of tasks related to policing processes including ticketing, photo enforcement and Immediate Roadside Sanctions (IRS). Primary duties include:
- Process information from various violation tickets (for example: street/handwritten, thermal, photo enforcement, out-of- province photo enforcement and mandatory court) and input the information correctly into an in-house Summons Data Entry (SUMNS) application.
- Ensure tickets and contraventions written by Calgary Police Officers are processed in a timely manner so they are available to the accused and to the courts.
- Process cancelled street issued and photo enforcement violation tickets.
- Provide customer service via telephone, front counter or email to the public and members of Calgary Police Service.
- Sort incoming mail and complete quality assurance checks on entered violation tickets (both street and photo enforcement).
- Remain up to date on all current legislation pertaining to Immediate Roadside Sanctions and Violation Ticketing.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or Equivalency (i.e. G.E.D.) and at least 1 job related course such as Fundamentals of Information and Records Management or related course.
- A least 1-year experience in data entry/office focused on alphanumeric data entry that includes 6 months of customer service experience.
- Applicants must be able to demonstrate a minimum data entry speed of 5,000 keystrokes per hour.
- Experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel and Word) is required.
- Previous experience with database systems such as JOIN (Justice Online Information Network), MOVES (Alberta Motor Vehicles System) or Windows-based programs will be considered assets.
- Success in this position requires efficiency and thoroughness, stress tolerance, service orientation and team building and teamwork. An effective communicator with a focus on results and the ability to build strong relationships.
