We are looking for a Finance Clerk to join our team in our Orleans branch office with potential for advancement within a growing Finance team.
The ideal candidate will be the primary liaison between brokerage personnel, vendors and insurance company and clients regarding account payable and accounts receivable matters. You will be responsible to complete assigned duties in a professional and timely manner. You must be detail-oriented and continually demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Process payments to companies/vendors and receipts from clients by organizing, summarizing and validating against supporting documentation
- Maintain records of all invoices, reports, statements, communications, etc.
- Reconcile accounts with internal systems reports and transactions records
- Liaise between internal staff and external parties
- Support executive team with administrative tasks and special projects
Qualifications:
- 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience in Finance and Accounting
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
- Working towards or completion of the Accounting Designation considered an asset
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office applications and financial record keeping principles
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- French speaking considered an asset
- Prior experience with insurance broker management systems considered an asset (i.e. EPIC, TAM, etc.)
