Medical Office Receptionist

We are a large family practice in Brampton (North Park/Torbram). We are currently hiring for a reception administrative position. The successful candidate will be part of our team working with multiple family physicians, focused on customer service and patient management.

Candidates must have worked in a family physicians practice for a minimum of 2 years, in a computerized EMR environment. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Your application must include your hours available to work (Monday to Friday) and that you are able to work full time hours as needed.

Qualifications:

• Experience working in a medical environment, preferably a family physicians office, with multiple physician schedules, with a strong focus on customer service. Familiar with working with patients to triage results, prescriptions, follow-ups, escalating calls as needed; work with multiple phone lines, electronic faxing and scanning.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. You must be fluent in English (oral and written).
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills
• This position requires that you are available to work evenings ( 1-2 evenings per week) and weekends ( Mornings : Saturday/Sunday, usually one weekend monthly)
• Maintain availability flexibility in covering for other support staff.

You will be required to adhere to strict privacy and confidentiality protocols.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 21 – 35 per week
