Medical Receptionist

Working hours are Monday- Fridays

8.45-5pm

You may be required to work later on certain days depending on the Chiropodists schedule no later than 6pm

Niagara Family Foot are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team. The Medical Receptionist will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients and visitors, managing phone calls, scheduling appointments, and maintaining electronic medical records. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong knowledge of medical terminology, and experience working in a medical or dental office.

Duties:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or direct calls to the appropriate department
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain the appointment calendar
- Verify patient insurance information and collect co-payments
- Enter patient information into electronic medical records system (Epic)
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working in a medical or dental office preferred
- Proficient in using phone systems and handling multiple phone lines
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systend
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skill

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
