The Physio Approach is a Physiotherapist-owned private practice, operating in the heart of North York. We are a team consisting of two Registered Physiotherapists and one Registered Massage Therapist. We have a growing reputation of providing exceptional patient-centered care. We have developed strong relationships with orthopedic surgeons, physiatrists, and family doctors, and focus on collaborative care to efficiently rehab our patients.
We are currently looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, and motivated individual to join our team as a part-time receptionist, with the potential to become full-time. This is an excellent opportunity for someone wanting to join a growing healthcare organization and build their career.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage reception area and patient flow, greeting and checking patients in as they arrive
- Coordinate and schedule patient appointments efficiently and accurately, and ensuring practitioners stay on schedule by notifying of patients arrival
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or direct calls to the appropriate staff member
- Collect and update patient information, including insurance details and medical history
- Verify insurance coverage and process insurance claims
- Assist with billing and payment processing, including billing to third party insurance companies through various portals
- Maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording and updating personal and financial information while adhering to confidentially procedures
- Responding to online appointment requests in a timely manner
- Completing confirmation calls/e-mails
- Handling incoming faxes and scanning appropriate reports, charts and other documents correctly into patients charts
- Daily & Monthly Balancing & Reports
- Other administrative tasks (manage office supplies and inventory, cleaning etc)
- No MVA or WSIB claims.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous receptionist/administrative experience at Physiotherapy clinic
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Performance oriented
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Experience using Jane Scheduling System is an asset
- Knowledge in Telus billing is an asset.
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
