Medical Receptionist

Greystones Health is looking for a part-time receptionist for a busy downtown (College and Yonge) naturopathic and psychotherapy clinic. Hours would be 11am to 4pm on Saturdays. There is parking in the building, and direct access to College subway station out the front of the building. We also share space with a chiropractic and massage clinic so the candidate would be working with their receptionist. This is a great opportunity for any student interested in healthcare to learn the behind the scenes administration of how to run a clinic. It is an ideal position for a student.

Pay is $17 per hour to start, and increases will be based on performance.

Experience working in a clinic setting, and working with an electronic medical record keeping system is an asset. We will provide training on our electronic medical record keeping system (OutSmart), as well as how to directly bill insurance companies.

Primary duties and responsibilities would be:

· Greet patients and other callers at the clinic in a courteous manner

· Make appointments for patients following set procedures for naturopathic and psychotherapy treatments

· Follow up with patients about upcoming appointments

· Issue patient invoices, receipts and bill insurance companies

· Scan and file patient documents

· Exercise patient confidentiality in regards to all aspects of our practice

The ideal candidate would have the following qualities:

· Highly organized

· Ability to work independently

· Ability to multi-task

· Customer service experience

· Patient and calm manner when dealing with customers

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
