We are seeking a skilled and professional Medical Receptionist to join our team. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth and efficient operation of the front desk.
```Duties```
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and welcoming manner
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries
- Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays
- Maintain patient records and update electronic medical records (EMR)
- Assist with billing and coding processes
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes
- Ensure the waiting area is clean and organized
```Experience```
To be successful in this role, you should have the following skills and qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a medical or dental office setting
- Proficiency in using office software, such as Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, such as Oscar
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Experience with phone systems and handling high call volumes
