Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Schedule and confirm appointments using electronic medical records system
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or direct calls to the appropriate staff member
- Maintain patient records and update information as necessary
- Verify insurance information and assist with billing processes
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Ensure the waiting area is clean and organized
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a medical office or similar setting is preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems, such as Epic or Dentrix
- Strong administrative skills, including data entry and organization
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of phone systems and ability to handle high call volumes
