Cardio Health Inc. is a full-service medical office located in Hamilton, ON. We are seeking a Receptionist/Front Desk Agent to join our team.
Job Summary:
The Receptionist/Front Desk Agent will be responsible for answering and directing calls, scheduling appointments, and providing excellent customer service to patients and visitors. The ideal candidate will have a friendly, outgoing personality, and be able to communicate effectively with others.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
·Answer phone calls and direct calls to the correct person or department.
·Answer phone lines, and take messages.
·Schedule patient appointments in our electronic medical record system.
·Check patients in and out.
·Collect copays, co-pays, and deductibles.
·Maintain security by verifying patient identification; verifying insurance; verifying social security number; verifying address; verifying age verification; verifying driver’s license information; verifying insurance; verifying benefits; updating record.
·Maintain office appearance by cleaning, organizing, and stocking offices.
·Maintain professional communication with the office manager as well as with other employees within the office.
·Maintain a safe work environment by complying with procedures for handling chemicals, drugs, paraphernalia, etc., as well as maintaining the highest level of confidentiality regarding patient information.
·Answer phones in a professional manner while being compassionate to patients' inquiries or concerns.
·Provide assistance to other departments as needed (i.e., receptionist, billing) or requested (i.e., copying, faxing, scanning).
·Scan documents into electronic medical record using Word document software program. Upload documents into the medical record using Word document software program.
Job Types: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
